The business had established itself as a leading high street electrical retailer and its reputation for excellent products and customer service was well known.
The Managing Director felt that his people had even more potential, so decided to invest in a programme that developed their leadership, communication and problem-solving ability as well as bringing them together as a team.
The objective was to improve business performance by creating a highly collaborative, highly engaged leadership team with a wide range of transformational leadership skills to inspire the best of their people.
Programme duration: 6 months
DeltaV embedded itself in the business to understand the realities of leadership across the business and design a bespoke programme that would develop the correct range of skills to address these specific challenges.
2-day workshops were designed that blended academic theory, thought-provoking case studies and outdoor based team and leadership activities that helped leaders practice and apply their learning in an explorative and challenging environment.
The leaders also received a personalised set of coaching topics that they took back to their Line Managers to begin a longer-term 1:1 coaching and development programme.
As a result of the programme, leaders across the business felt inspired, motivated, valued and invested in and all recognised the important benefits of dedicating time to their own personal development, as well as the positive impact this would have on their people.
Having brought together leaders from across the UK, new connections and friendships were made which opened up important channels for social and collaborative learning and long-lasting professional relationships that helped the cohesion of the entire business as well as the sharing of ideas and best practice to improve business performance.
